‘I Am Now Lying in Your Bed, in Your Apartment, with Your Husband’: I Received This Message While on a Business Trip in Another City

What started as a routine business trip ended with my life unraveling after a single text message shattered my world. It exposed a betrayal so deep that it left me with no choice but to carefully plan the perfect revenge.

I wasn’t expecting anything out of the ordinary. It was just a typical three-day trip to New York. My bag was packed, my presentation was prepped, and I kissed my husband, Tom, goodbye at the airport like I always did.

“See you soon,” Tom smiled, his eyes warm and full of affection.

“Don’t forget to water the plants,” I teased, giving him a quick hug before heading to security. Everything felt normal. But now, looking back, I wish I’d noticed the signs. Maybe then, I would’ve seen what was coming.

After a long day of meetings and endless conversations, I finally made it to my hotel room. I was wiped out. I kicked off my heels, changed into my pajamas, and let myself sink into the bed, feeling relieved it was all over.

Just as I was about to drift off to sleep, my phone buzzed. I smiled, thinking it was Tom’s usual sweet goodnight message. But as soon as I opened it, my heart froze.

“I am now lying in your bed, in your apartment, with your husband. Now I am the main woman here.”

My mind went blank. I stared at the screen, my heart pounding in disbelief. Could this be a joke? But it was Tom’s number. Before I could even process what was happening, another message appeared – a picture.

There she was. A woman, in my bed, wearing a lace nightgown. And with my husband. The smug look on her face made me feel sick.

I knew exactly who she was.

It was Sarah.

Sarah, my colleague. The one who had always seemed to dislike me since I got promoted. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. My stomach churned as I sat there, staring at the photo, my hands trembling.

“No,” I whispered. “This can’t be real.”

But it was real. And Sarah? She was clearly enjoying every minute of it.

From the moment I met her, I knew she resented me. When we started working together, I thought we could get along, maybe even be friends. But Sarah wasn’t interested in that. She barely put in any effort at work, content to chat and sip coffee while I stayed late, making sure projects got done. Her bitterness grew when I got promoted, and she didn’t.

She never congratulated me. Instead, she spent her time giving me cold looks and making snide remarks.

One time during lunch, I overheard her mutter to another coworker, “Must be nice to have everything handed to you.”

I tried to ignore it. I knew she was jealous, but I never imagined she’d go this far.

Now, I was sitting on the edge of the bed, staring at my phone in disbelief. Was this real? Could it be a mistake? Maybe someone else had sent the message from Tom’s phone. But deep down, I knew. This wasn’t a mistake.
