Netflix Viewers Hooked On New Zombie Series That’s ‘Better Than Walking Dead’
Netflix viewers are hooked on a new zombie series that some claim is ‘better than Walking Dead’.
Season one of The Walking Dead hit the screens with a bang in 2010 and lead to many spinoffs and games. It follows a a group of survivors in a post-apocalyptic world where the undead – known as ‘walkers’ on the show, cause havoc in the world.
Fans of TWD are convinced that no zombie show compares, however, there is one that comes close.
One fan raved about the new show on social media, saying: “This is the best zombie show ever filmed in my opinion.” While another agreed: “Really enjoyed this show. Great characters/tension [and] non-stop action.”
Another fan shared: “So far, it’s what The Walking Dead should be.”
The ‘King of Horror’ himself, Stephen King, was even left impressed, writing: “No long, fraught discussions. No endless flashbacks, because there’s no back story. No grouchy teens. Dialogue is spare. Much shot with a single handheld camera, very fluid. Showrunners could learn a lot from this.”
The series, created by Karl Schaefer and John Hyams, stars Jaime King, Justin Chu Cary, Christine Lee, Sal Velez Jr., Kelsey Flower, Erika Hau, Gwynyth Walsh, Mustafa Alabssi, Edsson Morales, and Zoe Marlett.
Jaime King plays the lead, Rose – a mother who gets separated from her daughter, Anna.
In order to survive the apocalypse, she tags along with a group of survivors in North America.
