Amber Heard and Jason Momoa Rumor Finally Proven True!
Heard, 38, and Momoa, 45, starred together in DC’s Aquaman and its sequel, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. In the second movie, Heard’s role was much smaller compared to the first film, and now she seems to have stepped away from Hollywood.
Before the release of the second Aquaman movie, there were many rumors about Heard and Momoa’s relationship on set. Now, a film executive has shared new details.
In recent years, Heard has kept a low profile, and reports suggest she has left Hollywood. A source from People magazine shared that Heard is focusing on raising her daughter, Oonagh, who was born in 2021.
“She spends every day with her daughter,” the source said. “They go for walks, visit parks, and enjoy family time. Amber is a wonderful mom.”
This follows the aftermath of Heard’s defamation lawsuit loss to her ex-husband, Johnny Depp, in 2022. Depp had sued Heard over a 2018 opinion piece she wrote about domestic violence, claiming it indirectly referred to allegations she made against him. Both sides shared shocking allegations during the trial.
Heard also testified that Warner Bros. had significantly reduced her role in the Aquaman sequel due to her legal battle with Depp. She claimed scenes were removed from her role, saying, “They basically took a bunch out of my role. They just removed a bunch.”
However, Aquaman executive producer Walter Hamada offered a different explanation. In a video deposition, Hamada stated that Heard’s role was not reduced but was always meant to be secondary. He also claimed there were discussions about recasting Mera’s role due to chemistry issues between Heard and Momoa.
“They didn’t really have a lot of chemistry together,” Hamada said. He added that it took significant effort to make it seem like the two stars had chemistry on screen.
Director James Wan also commented on Heard’s reduced role. He told Entertainment Weekly that Heard’s smaller part was always planned, explaining that the sequel focused more on Arthur (Momoa) and Orm (Patrick Wilson).
Despite all the rumors and discussions, Heard did appear in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, but her screen time was minimal.
