There are so many swipes and matches these days that it’s easy to get lost. But one woman in New York City chose to do something different. Kara Geits, a model who is 29 years old, was sick of the heartbreak and failure that came with dating apps. It was important to her to meet someone special who would really get her. She took a deep breath and then did something brave.
She took out a piece of cardboard, wrote “Looking for a husband” as her wish, and then added her social media name. Then she went out into the streets of Manhattan with her sign in hand and walked down the sidewalk with pride.
Geits couldn’t help but wonder as she walked if this unusual plan would actually work. Over the course of two years, she looked for love online, but every guy she met seemed either not interested or not serious. She was looking for a real, nice, and funny person to meet. She was ready to risk everything to find him. Geits shared a video of her trip on social media in the hopes that it would inspire other people and maybe even catch the attention of a possible suitor. She did catch their eye. A lot of guys were interested in the sign because they thought it was written by a beautiful woman.
