Elon Musk claims that it may soon be possible to travel between any two cities on Earth in under an hour.
In addition to his roles as CEO of Tesla and owner of X (formerly known as Twitter), Musk also founded SpaceX, a space technology company that has made significant advances in rocket and spaceflight technology since its inception in 2002.
Among these innovations is the “Starship,” the most powerful rocket on Earth.
While Starship is designed primarily for space exploration, it could also revolutionize travel on Earth.
According to SpaceX, the rocket could carry up to 1,000 passengers and enable travel to any destination worldwide in less than an hour. The company even predicts that most flights would take under 30 minutes.
In a recent post on X, a user shared a promotional video explaining how Starship-based travel would work.
The concept involves passengers boarding a boat to reach an offshore platform, where the rocket would be ready for takeoff. The X user commented that Starship travel could potentially be approved “in a few years” following Trump’s recent election victory. Musk replied under the video, saying, “This is now possible.”
