Kurt Vogel Russell is a prominent American actor who began his career at the age of twelve with a debut in a western television series. His performance in Mike Nichols’ film “Silkwood” garnered him a nomination for the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1983. Russell was born in Springfield, Massachusetts.
His father, Bing, was also an artist, while his mother, Louise Julia Russell, was a ballerina. Recent reports from The Globe indicate that Kurt Russell is suffering from a severe flesh-eating disease. The 65-year-old actor, known for his role in “Hateful Eight,” is said to have developed unsightly ulcers beneath his lower lip, attributed to Peutz-Jeghers Syndrome (PJS), a condition associated with an increased risk of colon cancer. It has been noted that individuals with PJS may face a lifetime cancer risk of up to 93%.
Dr. Stuart Fischer, who does not provide treatment to Kurt, characterized the ulcers as “precancerous lesions that can become aggressive and dangerous if not treated promptly and appropriately.”
Kurt Russell’s name is already inscribed on the Hollywood Walk of Fame; however, he is unable to attend the ceremony due to an unexpected medical issue. The actor stated that he requires surgery, which his physician has deemed essential and cannot be postponed.
