Lana Rhoades Reveals The Shocking Amount She Was Paid For Each Scene When She Was The Number-One Adult Film Star

Lana Rhoades has disclosed the earnings she received for each scene during her time in the adult film industry.

At 27 years old, Rhoades stepped away from the adult film scene just eight months after she started.

She has since leveraged her fame to openly discuss her past experiences.

During a conversation with Curious Mike, Rhoades shared her feelings of isolation and the absence of support or guidance when she entered the industry at 19.

She explained to the host, “There’s not really anything set up to protect girls that are young and vulnerable that don’t know how to say no or don’t have self-respect for themselves yet or care for themselves or love themselves because they’ve been through so much and are like taught not to.”

Rhoades also mentioned that she was often surrounded by older men in their forties who “know exactly like how to get you to do what […] they want to make them money.”

So, what was Rhoades making per scene? She refers to her earnings as ‘pickles.’

Despite being “the number one porn star,” her rate was “$1,200 for a sex scene,” Rhoades reveals.

She notes that many girls come from small towns and their families “probably don’t have money,” which can skew their perception of what constitutes a significant amount of money.

“I thought $100 at the time was like so much money,” she says.

“So getting $1,200 felt like a big deal.”

However, her perspective shifted when she met an influencer popular on YouTube and Instagram.

She realized that there were other ways to make money without being involved in sex scenes on camera.

This YouTuber was earning $15,000 just to post a photo on Instagram, an amount that dwarfed what Rhoades earned per sex scene.

She concludes, “The guys don’t understand what’s going on behind the scenes and then also people are like, ‘Oh you knew what you got into’ and you get backlash for talking out about it.

“I think it’s because men like consuming porn and they don’t want to feel guilty for consuming it and so they don’t want to hear that I felt the way that I felt.”

Rhoades has not only criticized the industry but has also expressed that she believes it should be illegal.

Since exiting the industry, she has embraced her role as an influencer and has launched her own clothing and lingerie line.
